Job summary

Global Experts Recruitment and Training has partnered with a 4* & 5* hotel in Vorarlberg, Austria, to recruit a Chef de Rang. The role focuses on delivering flawless service, guiding junior colleagues, and maintaining luxury standards in a busy restaurant.

You will welcome guests, present menus, offer wine and menu explanations, and ensure the dining area remains pristine during and after service. Fluency in German and a passion for food and beverage are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluency in German is essential.
• Experience in a similar luxury hotel/restaurant environment.
• Ability to train and supervise team members to deliver consistent service.
• Strong passion for food and beverage and knowledge of provenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of the restaurant section and assist junior team members.
• Deliver exemplary service to guests and greet visitors professionally.
• Seat guests, present menus and provide explanations of dishes and drinks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and the dining area during and after service.
• Contribute to a luxury guest experience in a 4*/5* setting.

Main duties:

• Insure in the smooth running of the section
• Assisting junior team members
• Deliver excellent standards of service in a friendly and professional manner to our guests
• Proactively welcome and greet all guests and visitors to the Restaurant and the Hotel
• assist in the set up if the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready
• seat guests offering them menus, drinks and provide explanations of the menu when required
• deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries
• Ensure the restaurant environment is always maintained and cleaned to a high standard both during and after service
• Deliver consistent, exceptional service in line with the luxury standards
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant menus in order to be able to offer guidance and make recommendations

The ideal candidate will:

• have a passion for all things food and beverage
• be able to help train and supervise team members ensuring they deliver consistent quality of service
• have previous experience in a similar environment
• have a strong understanding of the high standards that are demanded from a 4* and 5* establishments
• Speak German fluently
• be creative minded with a passion and respect for the provenance of food
• Relish the pressure of a busy restaurant environment
