Job summary

Erste Bank Oesterreich is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to collaborate with diverse business teams, identifying AI use cases and building practical AI-driven workflows. You will design prompts, configure sources, and deploy prototypes with end users in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities include testing, refining, and measuring impact on efficiency and employee experience while adhering to data protection, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop principles.

Qualifications

• Interest in AI and willingness to build practical AI solutions.
• Portfolio demonstrating AI projects, automations, prototypes or open-source contributions.
• Understanding of prompts, instructions, and AI-powered workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking and business-process interest.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
• English strong; German at least B2.
• Degree in CS/AI/Data Science beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn about teams and their ways of working, conduct interviews, and identify AI use cases.
• Collaborate with end users to design AI-powered workflows and configure prompts, knowledge sources, and agents.
• Test prototypes in realistic business scenarios and deploy with teams.
• Analyze usage and measure impact on efficiency, quality, and turnaround times.
• Work within data protection, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop principles, sharing insights with AI community.
