Job summary

Bybit is seeking a Trader to operate the MT5-based EU Trading Desk on a 24/7/365 schedule, monitoring risk and liquidity, executing hedges, and coordinating with the Risk Manager. The role requires a finance/economics background, strong German and English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment from Austria, Vienna.

Qualifications

Preferably degree in finance, economics or comparable qualification.
Knowledge of financial instruments, especially derivatives and crypto-assets.
Risk management knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication in German and English.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

Regular reporting to the Head of Trading Desk and, if needed, to the CRO.
Real-time risk monitoring during shift.
Monitor liquidity provider connectivity and performance; initiate failover if necessary.
Ensure exposure adjustments stay within pre-approved limits.
Perform manual hedge execution per predefined notional thresholds.
Approve minor spread adjustments per internal policy.
Handle first-level escalations of desk incidents.
Operate the 24/7/365 Trading Desk with proper shift handover.
Coordinate with the Trading Desk team on ongoing activities.
