Mastercard Inc. in Argentina and Uruguay is seeking a Vice President, Fintech & Merchants Lead to drive growth across fintech, retail and commerce segments.

You will lead regional sales strategy, build partnerships with key customers, and guide cross-functional teams to expand digital payments adoption. The role requires extensive experience in business development, strategic planning, and executive relationship management within the payments ecosystem.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience executing and managing business development strategies for large or complex countries/regions/industry verticals
• Track record in achieving business development targets and building customer relationships through customer sales
• Demonstrated success introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various Mastercard countries/regions/industry verticals
• Strong experience working with Fintech, Retail, Commerce, Acquiring, Payments, or Digital Commerce organizations
• Proven ability to build and manage executive-level relationships across diverse customer segments and ecosystems

Responsabilités

• Grows revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing customers/markets across the Fintech and Merchants (Retail & Commerce) segments in Argentina & Uruguay markets
• Focuses on growing market share, the number of customer touch points, and Mastercard’s regional footprint
• Sets sales strategy aligned with geography and segment strategy for Fintech and Merchants customers
• Responsible for pipeline management at the segment level
• Leads the development and execution of segment growth strategies to accelerate digital payments, commercial opportunities, and ecosystem expansion across Argentina and Uruguay
• Develops the sales pipeline, coordinating with product development and account management teams
• Prospects, contacts, and contracts new customers and business partners to improve market acceptance
• Plays a lead role in conversations with key decision makers for new or emerging product opportunities
• Provides input for long-term growth strategies to optimize mutual profitability across business lines
• Plays a key role in developing financial modeling and business cases for development opportunities
• Executes and manages the customer contract agreement process
• Evaluates the deal process to deliver improvements
• Enhances ongoing business development relationships (e.g., government, regulators, industry bodies)
• Leads customer engagement and business development efforts across Fintech and Merchants (Retail & Commerce) customers
• Identifies and executes opportunities to drive acceptance, digitization, customer acquisition, and value-added services adoption within the merchant ecosystem
• Partners with cross-functional teams to deliver growth initiatives and innovative solutions tailored to merchant and fintech customer needs
