Job summary

Bluelight Consulting is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to manage complex client portfolios remotely for a U.S.-based higher education marketing agency. You will drive technical SEO, write developer-ready specifications, and ensure fixes go live while reducing manual work through Claude-based tools.

You will collaborate with the SEO Lead and support the Executive Director of SEO, owning multiple accounts and prioritizing high-impact issues across sites.

Qualifications

5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally across multiple sites.
Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and prioritizing fixes.
Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush.

Responsibilities

Lead technical SEO across client accounts and defend prioritizations.
Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, and follow fixes through to verification.
Handle light WordPress tasks: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, and schema via Yoast or Rank Math.
Monitor Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems early.
Design and build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA, and content production.
Build scalable systems for the SEO service and train the team on them.
