Job summary

Abstra seeks a Software Engineering Lead to guide the evolution of our exam development platform. You will balance hands-on development with technical leadership, shaping architecture and driving engineering excellence across C#, .NET, Angular, and Azure.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Remote LATAM with US-timezone collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C# and Angular.
2+ years of experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, or acting as a technical lead.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Experience working with Azure cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of web applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and Azure.
Act as the primary technical advisor for the engineering team.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Mentor and coach software engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
Drive CI/CD, testing practices, and deployment workflows.
Provide hands-on coding and contribute to software delivery.
