Job summary

RES is seeking a Crew Chief I to lead a survey crew for RES Solar, T&D, and Preconstruction projects. The role includes hands-on surveying, construction staking, control point verification, and precise data collection while adhering to RES safety and quality standards.

You will communicate with the Field Coordinator to meet schedules, train technicians, and oversee field operations. The job involves vehicle operation and UAV support as needed, fostering continuous improvement and best surveying

Qualifications

• Leads and directs Survey Technicians during daily tasks.
• Performs construction staking, topographic surveys, and as-built data collection with minimal supervision.
• Sets, verifies, and maintains survey control points.
• Communicates daily workload plans, constraints, and progress to the Field Coordinator.
• Ensures survey equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Participates in troubleshooting layout discrepancies and coordinate solutions with management.
• Trains and mentors Survey Technicians in field procedures and equipment usage.
• Operates company vehicles safely across all site conditions.
• Supports UAV operations as needed for flights, mapping, and field data capture.
• Promotes continuous improvement and uphold RES surveying best practices.

Responsibilities
