Job summary

RES is seeking a Project Safety Manager I to implement the RES System (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects in the US or Canada. The role emphasizes coaching, training, audits, and regulatory liaison to uphold top-tier safety and compliance across projects.

The position requires extensive safety experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive corrective actions, with travel up to 100% and base compensation in a competitive range.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Construction Industry Safety experience required.
• 5+ years of Construction Industry Safety experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• OSHA 510 Certification preferred.
• OSHA 500 Certification preferred.
• Certification CHST/CUSP/OHST/NCSO preferred.
• Certification CSP/ASP/GSP/SMP/CRSP/CHSC preferred.
• Certification First Aid/CPR/AED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Domestic and International travel 76-100% required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes company safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
• Acts as subject matter expert and liaison for health and safety for the project team and client.
• Leads safety-related discussions at various meetings.
• Develops and maintains site-specific documentation including safety plans and rules.
• Oversees Permit to Work processes and safety training implementations.
• Conducts Incident Investigations and develops incident reports.
• Drives corrective actions to completion and maintains safety metrics.
• Facilitates audits and inspections by third parties and regulatory agencies.
