The Ward Law Group is seeking a Settlement Department Manager to lead a team responsible for valuing, negotiating, and resolving pre-suit personal injury inventory. This is a true management role with a focus on structured workflows, data-driven decisions, and department performance.

You will directly manage a team of settlement negotiators, drive development plans, and maintain SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients.

Formación

• Three to five years of progressive experience in personal injury, with substantial time in pre-suit settlement and negotiation.
• Three or more years directly managing a settlements, pre-litigation, or case management team — not managing assistants, and not serving as a senior individual contributor.
• Demonstrated experience managing through metrics and setting performance standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the team of settlement negotiators and support staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Conduct structured one-on-ones, file reviews, and coaching with documented follow-up.
• Build individual development plans to improve valuation accuracy, negotiation skill, and file velocity.
• Own the department’s KPIs and review pipeline weekly to diagnose and improve performance.
• Review and approve demand packages and settlement strategy within approval limits.
• Coordinate with medical management on treatment monitoring and lien resolution to ensure demand-readiness.
• Ensure clear client communication and timely disbursement of settlements.
