Job summary

Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our payments reliability and Order to Cash platforms. You will build end-to-end observability using Azure Monitor, Grafana, and ADX, defining SLIs/SLOs and alerting strategies to ensure high availability.

A strong background in production reliability, Python/PowerShell/C#, IaC, and CI/CD is required, along with the ability to translate telemetry into business insights and collaborate

Qualifications

• Proven SRE expertise in production reliability and incident response.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python, PowerShell and C#; IaC and CI/CD experience preferred.
• Advanced telemetry analysis with Grafana and log analysis (ADX/KQL).
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering and business stakeholders to translate metrics into impact.
• Experience using AI tools and building AI agents to scale productivity.

Responsibilities

• Drive Reliability: Define, implement, and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for payment workflows.
• End-to-End Observability: Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable observability stacks across distributed environments.
• Incident Management & Prevention: Work with vendor-driven Ops team to reduce incidents and perform blameless RCA.
• Toil Elimination: Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation and self-healing mechanisms.
• AI Integration: Design AI-assisted diagnostics and smart alerting to accelerate incident resolution.
• Capacity & Performance Tuning: Monitor health for load testing and capacity planning.
