Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (SRE) to join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team.

You will leverage your expertise in vSphere, NSX, and vCF to implement automation, improve resiliency, and optimize production systems across large-scale environments. The role requires deep VMware experience, strong networking fundamentals, and a track record of cross-team collaboration in agile settings.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering.
• Experience with VMware NSX-T and Hyper-V is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting VMware vCF environments.
• Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in enterprise environments with vSAN.
• Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments.
• Analytical skills to predict issues and take proactive actions.
• Leadership in an agile team and collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Aid in building a meaningful engineering discipline by combining software and systems for operations problems.
• Focus on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and reducing manual work via automation in vCF environments.
• Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks and capacity needs.
• Drive adoption of self-healing and resiliency patterns across production systems.
• Operate in a global, diverse team with mentorship and growth opportunities.
