Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a seasoned ESX Infrastructure Engineer to join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team in Buenos Aires.

You will leverage your deep knowledge of vSphere, NSX, and vCF platforms to impact change across a large enterprise environment. You will drive analysis, optimization, and capacity planning in high-availability data centers, and mentor teams in agile practices, automation, and self-healing strategies.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering.
• Experience with VMware NSX-T and Hyper-V is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments.
• Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in an agile team.

• Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.
• Perform analytics on incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.

Job description

You will join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere, NSX and vCF platforms and infrastructure automation to affect change.

The right person for this role will have:

• Experience with VMware NSX-T and Hyper-V a strong plus
• Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vCF environments
• Experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment with vSAN
• Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
• Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
• Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
• Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
• Seven or more years of experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering, constantly seeking to be an expert. You take pride in self-mastery and knowledge development
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
• Strong computing fundamentals
• A passion for building software, and a long-term career as a software technologist
• Demonstrated leadership in an agile team
• Strong networking background, with good knowledge of related protocols and technologies (e.g. NAT, DFW,BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, UDP), as applied to a data center context
