Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role requires leading complex data workloads, mentoring engineers, and ensuring production data quality while collaborating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and governance teams. Strong English and on-call readiness are essential for client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Snowflake platform experience including data-layer design and performance.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong dbt experience for transformation and testing.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR for data ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, schema evolution, backfills, validation, and quality.
• Observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management.
• Ability to lead incident resolution and preventive actions.
• Strong decision-making, estimation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentoring engineers and collaborating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance.
• Excellent written and verbal English; client-facing.
• Availability to work 9-6 PT and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform operations for LatAm coverage window.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-prod environments with monitoring.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls.
• Oversee data ingestion via Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines.
• Build and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
• Lead major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations as needed.
