AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to oversee a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare environment. You will own operations, optimize performance, and lead data quality initiatives across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers, while ensuring secure access and reliable ingestion pipelines.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong Snowflake and dbt expertise, and proficiency in Python. Flexibility for LatAm coverage and on-call rotation is required.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, documentation, and lineage.
• Experience with managed ingestion tools such as Fivetran or HVR and custom pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services experience, especially S3 and event/file-based ingestion.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python or a comparable language for automation and tooling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage, including L2/L3 escalation.
• Operate and optimize Snowflake production and non-production environments and monitor performance.
• Manage data access controls with least-privilege and audit-ready practices.
• Oversee ingestion pipelines across Fivetran, HVR and custom pipelines, including schema changes and backfills.
• Build and maintain reliable pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED and CONSUMPTION layers with CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and coordination with downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted data workloads.
• Expand monitoring and lineage using tools like dbt, Snowflake audits, Splunk.
• Lead data incidents, conduct RCA, and implement preventive actions.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations where needed for data issues.
