AgileEngine is a fast-growing tech firm delivering software for Fortune 500 brands and startups across industries. We seek a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will own data-platform operations, optimize Snowflake workloads, manage ingestion with Fivetran/HVR, build robust dbt models, and ensure data quality and observability while coordinating with Cloud/DevOps and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer.
• Snowflake expertise with data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services, esp. S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Argo Workflows on Kubernetes experience.
• Python or similar language for data tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, and schema evolution.
• Observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management.
• Leading complex incidents and preventive improvements.
• Ability to make technical decisions and guide platform improvements.
• Mentoring engineers and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Full availability for 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PT and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage, handling operations and escalations.
• Manage Snowflake production and non-production environments, tuning and sizing.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
• Oversee data ingestion with Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines, including failures and backfills.
• Design and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION with tests and CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake workflows and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes data workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards; implement alerts and lineage.
• Lead major data incidents; perform root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Mentors mid-level engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
