Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will provide senior technical ownership and drive reliability across the data platform for LatAm coverage.

You will design and maintain pipelines in RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with dbt, manage ingestion via Fivetran/HVR, and collaborate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo Workflows and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering
Strong Snowflake expertise including warehouse performance and access patterns
Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformation and testing
Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines
Hands-on AWS data services experience (S3)
Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes
Proficiency in Python for tooling and automation
Understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality

Responsibilities

Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage
Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments
Administer data access with least-privilege and auditability
Manage data ingestion pipelines across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines
Design and maintain pipelines across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION layers with testing and CI/CD
Support AWS S3 data-lake workflows and downstream Snowflake workloads
Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes tasks
Define data quality and observability standards
Lead major data incidents and post-incident reviews
Support Tableau Cloud operations as needed
Deliver automation and standardization improvements
Create runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials
Mentor engineers and participate in on-call shifts
