As a Customer Communication Specialist leading our operations, you will oversee bookings, cleaning, maintenance, and restocking, supervise the junior Specialist, and resolve urgent issues on NY time. Fully remote with US-time alignment.

Qualifications

• Professional English, written and spoken; regular calls with US-based guests/vendors.
• 2+ years of remote work experience, preferably with US-based companies.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in short-term rental operations, preferably remote.
• Exceptional attention to detail: double-check work and catch errors.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with AI tools preferred.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a distraction-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations across all 30 units: bookings, cleanings, maintenance and restocking.
• Supervise and support the Customer Communication Specialist; review guest communication for quality and accuracy.
• Resolve escalated and urgent issues independently: lockouts, guest complaints, cleaning failures, maintenance emergencies.
• Coordinate cleaning teams and maintenance vendors, and verify that work is completed to standard.
• Audit reservations, schedules and task boards daily to catch errors before they reach guests.
• Maintain and improve our operating systems, task management and messaging platforms.
• Uphold 5-star guest experience standards across the entire portfolio.

HostConnect is a short-term rental company managing 30 units in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We run a lean, highly automated operation with well-established systems and processes, and a strong focus on delivering a consistent 5-star guest experience. We are growing our remote team and looking for professionals who take pride in precision and ownership.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not an assistant role. We are looking for an experienced, self-directed professional who resolves complex situations independently, anticipates problems before they and takes full ownership of outcomes. Our Customer Communication Specialist will report directly to you, and you will be responsible for supporting, guiding and overseeing their work.

SCHEDULE

• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM New York time, including a one-hour lunch break
• Days off: Tuesday and Saturday
• On November 1, the US switches from daylight saving time to standard time. After that date, your local working hours may shift by one hour, depending on whether your country also changes its clocks.

COMPENSATION

• $1,400 – $1,700 per month, based on experience
• Clear potential for growth in compensation and responsibility based on performance

• Fully remote, working on New York time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• Professional English, written and spoken. This role involves regular phone calls with US-based guests, cleaners and vendors
• 2+ years of remote work experience, preferably with US-based companies
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in short-term rental operations, preferably in a remote role
• Exceptional attention to detail: you double-check your work, catch errors others miss, and do not let small issues slip through
• Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with AI tools preferred
• Reliable high-speed internet and a professional, distraction‑free work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with short-term rental property management systems (PMS) such as Uplisting or Guesty
• Experience supervising or training team members
