Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Security Platform to design and own the services that discover, scan, triage, and route security findings across the stack. You will work in Go and Python on Kubernetes, build an event-driven NATS platform, and drive CI/CD gates from advisory to enforcement.

You will report to the Director of Information Security and collaborate with detection, response, and network teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend-focused development with Go and Python.
• Experience deploying changes to production within 30 days.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and secure software pipelines.
• Familiarity with security scanning tools (SAST/SCA) and SBOM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate security services in Golang and Python on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Own the event-driven platform, including the NATS bus and contracts.
• Integrate scanners, findings, tickets, and metrics end-to-end.
• Lead security gates: SAST, SCA, secret detection, container and IaC scanning.
• Create agentic security workflows and automated triage/verification.
• Develop triage-to-remediation automation and maintain threat modeling input.
• Participate in on-call rotations for the services you own.
