Sezzle is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Detection & Response to strengthen security operations across cloud infrastructure and applications. You will manage SIEM/XDR, detection rules, and incident response while driving vulnerability management and threat hunting.

You will work closely with security and engineering teams to implement proactive protections and long-term fixes in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on with cloud-based production systems and security challenges.
• Experience with SIEM platforms for detection engineering and incident response.
• Experience designing and tuning detection rules and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes security.

Responsabilidades

• Build, operate, and mature SIEM/XDR capabilities including log ingestion and alert tuning.
• Design detection strategies for suspicious activity and data exfiltration.
• Expand audit coverage across Kubernetes, databases, and SSO telemetry.
• Investigate incidents and drive long-term fixes with engineering teams.
• Lead threat hunts across cloud and identity layers; develop repeatable workflows.
• Manage vulnerability programs including scans, triage, and remediation.
• Validate external findings (bug bounty) and coordinate remediation.
• Contribute to threat modeling and security design reviews for new systems.
