Job summary

Knwn Local is seeking a Senior Video Editor to shape and optimize video content for advertising, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns. This remote role supports North American universities and partners with designers, copywriters, and strategists to deliver high-quality content across platforms.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of agency/marketing video experience, expert Premiere Pro skills, and familiarity with After Effects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in an agency, media production, or marketing team.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns with strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to boost engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms with correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and assets with structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets accounting for review steps.
