Knwn Local is seeking a Senior Video Editor for a fully remote role serving North American universities. The editor will craft ads and brand stories, optimize content for YouTube, social, and paid media, and collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to ensure high-quality results.

With 3+ years of agency or marketing experience, you will bring advanced Premiere Pro skills and familiarity with After Effects or other tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience in agency, media production, or marketing team.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro with working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations (text overlays, transitions, logo animations) to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets, ensuring structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to continuously improve video effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for internal and client review steps.
