Job summary

Knwn Local is seeking a Senior Video Editor to remotely serve North American universities. You will edit and optimize video content for ads, branding, and digital campaigns, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists to ensure high-quality outputs across YouTube, social, and paid media.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, ensure platform-specific optimization, and stay ahead of trends in color, sound, and motion graphics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in professional video editing, preferably in an agency, media production, or marketing setting.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, plus working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized—able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills, with ability to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, with strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to improve engagement.

• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets, accounting for review steps.
