Job summary

Howard Financial is seeking a Senior Accountant with real estate accounting expertise to own the books for a portfolio of Development & Real Estate clients. You will manage month-end close across entities, handle journal entries, reconciliations, CIP tracking, and asset depreciation, while delivering clear financial reporting for clients.

Join a remote, EST-time team and collaborate with CPAs and investors. Requires 4+ years in accounting, 2+ in real estate, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• 4+ years accounting experience with 2+ years in real estate.
• Proficient in US GAAP, multi-entity books, and close processes.
• Strong Excel/ Google Sheets skills; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close for multiple real estate entities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations.
• Track CIP, cost capitalization, depreciation, debt accounting.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages.
• Coordinate with CPAs for audits and tax filings.
• Support investor reporting and distributions.
• Review junior staff work and improve close processes.
• Communicate with clients in English about numbers.
