Job summary

Senior Python Developer is sought to join a remote-first project focused on a mobile application for a professional football team. You will design scalable backend services, build robust APIs, and integrate AI-powered features with providers like OpenAI or Hugging Face.

The role supports SQL/NoSQL databases, secure auth, Docker containerization, and cloud deployment (Azure). You will work with an international team in a remote-first setup with periodic in-person meetups.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Python backend development.
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask and RESTful APIs.
• Experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and JSON data exchange.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Docker, cloud deployment, and CI/CD pipelines; Azure familiarity is a plus.
• Understanding of application security, OAuth2/JWT, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services.
• Build RESTful APIs to support mobile features and fan engagement.
• Integrate AI-powered features from external providers.
• Implement asynchronous data flows and reliable service communication.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for performance and integrity.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2/JWT).
• Containerize apps with Docker and deploy to cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing workflows.
• Collaborate with an international remote team to deliver reliable solutions.
