Job summary

Anyone Ai Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a 100% remote role, focusing on building scalable systems in a startup environment. You will own backend design and implementation with Java and Python and collaborate with a highly technical team.

You will work with AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity while maintaining quality, and contribute to architecture, performance, and reliability across distributed services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software experience.
• 5+ years with Python in production systems.
• Strong Java experience.
• Experience with AI/LLM-based development in production.
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Strong ownership and ability to work in startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features end-to-end from design to monitoring.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of production systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.
• Participate in architectural decisions as the company scales.
• Improve development processes, tooling, and standards.
