Job summary

Simetrik is seeking a Data Engineer (Marketing-oriented) to join a fast-growing education-focused marketing agency. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines from ad platforms and CRM to a BigQuery warehouse, building modular dbt/Dataform flows and ready-to-consume Looker Studio dashboards.

You’ll collaborate with a distributed team, implement CI/CD, enforce data quality, and translate analytics requirements into scalable warehouse models for education and nonprofit clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering in marketing or agency environments.
• Experience with BigQuery data transformations and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL (advanced) and Python for pipelines.
• Experience with CRM data flows (Salesforce, HubSpot, Slate).
• Experience with Adverity or comparable ETL platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture— connect API pipelines into Adverity and build scalable pipelines.
• Own CRM integration— maintain reliable CRM data connections into the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse— design schemas, manage partitioning, and optimize storage.
• Own transformation & mapping— modular dbt/Dataform pipelines with consistent naming.
• Own CI/CD & data segregation— version-controlled releases with testing.
• Enable the reporting layer— build data views for Looker Studio dashboards and Google Sheets reports.
• Drive data quality— monitor, validate, and troubleshoot data pipelines and quality risks.
