Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and fast delivery of data products.

You'll build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data engineers while shaping data pipelines with Glue, Athena, and S3. If you thrive at the border of platform and data, this role is for you.

Formación

• 5+ years of DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Deep AWS core services knowledge (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure with IaC.
• Own observability stack for data pipelines (metrics, logs, alerts).
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templates.
• Lead incident response and contribute to post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers on DevOps and data engineering.
