Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines on AWS, with Glue, Athena, and S3 as core services.

You will build CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and observability to support scalable data products. You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams, mentor juniors, and own incident response for data platform outages.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering work.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack (metrics, logs, alerts) for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templates.
• Mentor engineers and participate in architecture decisions.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages.
