Proofpoint seeks a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to own reliability and automation for our data platform. You will build and maintain AWS-first infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling that empower data teams to ship high-quality data products faster and more safely.

You will design data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, elevate observability, and contribute to secure, scalable data operations.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with data engineering work.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK for managing production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience: building pipelines in GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logs, tracing, alerts) for data and platform services.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance and rapid incident response.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security best practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
