Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, and operate data pipelines using Glue, Athena, and S3, bringing an operational mindset to data engineering.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle and security features.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue/ETL jobs and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable templates for data pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) with reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion/transformation on S3.
• Drive security best practices across the data platform (Secrets, IAM, network).
