Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines, build cloud infrastructure on AWS, and maintain CI/CD tooling enabling data engineers to ship data products safely.

You will also design and operate data pipelines with Glue, Athena, and S3, ensuring observability, security, and scalable data infrastructure. Collaboration with data scientists and security teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with 2+ years in data engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle and security.
• Proficient in Terraform and/or CDK for production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalents.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Designing observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerts for data and platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts, dashboards for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates for pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra for data ingestion microservices.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions) and upgrades.
• Develop Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion.
• Drive security: secrets, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
