Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, with AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data workflow orchestration.

You will work with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 to design scalable data pipelines, improve developer experience, and boost line-of-business data capabilities. Strong collaboration with data teams is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data-engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK) including S3, IAM roles, Glue, Athena, and VPCs.
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and platform services.
• Develop DataOps tooling and shared libraries to speed up production pipelines.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and mentor junior engineers.
