Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior Data Ops / Data Platform Engineer contractor to strengthen our data and AI platform from LATAM. You will build and operate data ingestion pipelines, integrate with AWS, Snowflake and Python-based services, and own end-to-end data workflows.

You will work hands-on with customers, mentor colleagues, and drive architectural decisions while delivering scalable, secure data solutions across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building and operating data solutions in production cloud environments.
• AWS data ecosystem mastery: S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Lake Formation and IAM.
• Advanced Python for data engineering: pipelines, automation, data libs, testing.
• Snowflake: ingestion, analytics modeling, performance tuning and cost control.
• Orchestration: Airflow or Step Functions with complex dependencies.
• IaC and CI/CD: Terraform/CloudFormation and GitLab pipelines.
• Autonomy to argue design choices and own critical tech decisions.
• Ownership mindset and collaborative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve data collectors, connectors and ingestion services.
• Lead architecture initiatives and automation across data platforms.
• Evaluate and propose architectural improvements grounded in technical rationale.
• Govern data, security and granular access with AWS Lake Formation and IAM.
• Define engineering standards and reusable frameworks across the org.
• Ensure observability, performance and scalability of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Eng, MLOps, Analytics, Security and Architecture teams.
