Job summary

Muttdata is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing analytics. You will own end-to-end data pipelines from ad platforms to a centralized BigQuery warehouse, connect CRM data, and architect scalable, modular transformations using dbt or Dataform.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and efficient reporting for education-focused clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports, ensure strict data segregation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in marketing or agency environments.
• Strong SQL and BigQuery experience, including transformation, partitioning, and modeling.
• Expertise with dbt or Dataform and modular, version-controlled pipelines.
• Python proficiency for custom API connections and automation.
• Experience with CRM data flows (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Understanding of marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and paid platform schemas.
• Proficiency with Git and multi-client data environments with strict segregation.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture from paid media to the warehouse.
• Own CRM integration ensuring clean data flows to the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse in BigQuery including schema design and optimization.
• Own transformation & mapping with modular, documented pipelines (dbt/Dataform).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for robust releases and data segregation.
• Enable reporting layer with Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports.
