Job summary

Muttdata is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Marketing-oriented) to join a remote-friendly team serving education nonprofits. You will own end-to-end data pipelines from ad platforms to a BigQuery warehouse, build CRM integrations, and maintain modular, version-controlled transformations using dbt or Dataform.

You will enable fast Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports for clients. You’ll work with Adverity or similar ETL tooling, Python connectors, and Git-based CI/CD while collaborating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in marketing or agency environment.
• Strong experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in ETL platforms (Adverity or comparable).
• Intermediate to advanced SQL, with BigQuery experience in transformation and modeling.
• Expertise in dbt or Dataform with modular, version-controlled pipelines.
• Python proficiency for custom API connections and automation.
• Experience with CRM data flows (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Understanding of marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and paid platform schemas.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture from paid media to Adverity and warehouse.
• Own CRM integration to ensure lead data flows into the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse in BigQuery with optimized schemas and storage strategy.
• Own transformation pipelines using dbt or Dataform with clear conventions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and data segregation for multi-client environments.
• Enable reporting layer for Looker Studio dashboards and Google Sheets reports.
• Monitor data quality, validate pipelines, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
