Job summary

Muttdata seeks a Senior Data Engineer (Marketing-oriented) to tie paid media and CRM data into a single source of truth. You will manage ingestion pipelines, CRM connections, and a BigQuery warehouse, building modular SQL transformations with dbt or Dataform, and delivering Looker Studio dashboards and Sheets reports for education clients.

Remote role with an async-friendly team; compensation is competitive and experience-based.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience with Adverity or similar ETL platforms.
• Strong SQL with BigQuery experience.
• Expertise with dbt or Dataform.
• Python for API connections and automation.
• CRM data flows experience (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Understanding marketing metrics and paid platform schemas.
• Git and multi-client data environments with data segregation.
• Analytical, growth-minded and able to communicate for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion and pipeline architecture connecting paid media platforms into Adverity and dashboards.
• Own CRM integration and reliable data connections (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Own the data warehouse in BigQuery with efficient schemas and partitioning.
• Own transformation and mapping using modular dbt/Dataform pipelines.
• Own CI/CD and data segregation with GitHub Actions and testing.
• Enable the reporting layer for Looker Studio dashboards and reports.
• Drive data quality, monitoring, validation, and issue root-cause analysis.
