Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated environment. The role requires strong AWS EKS expertise, Kubernetes operations, Argo Workflows administration, and extensive IaC with Terraform.

You will lead incident resolution, improve observability, and mentor engineers while coordinating with Data Engineering and Security teams. Flexible, hybrid work options available for LatAm hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Cloud/DevOps/SRE experience.
• Hands-on AWS in production environments.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Hands-on administration of Argo Workflows or similar platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Git-based practices.
• Experience building and releasing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring/logging/alerting tools (Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
• Led incident resolution with root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Proficient in Python and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; able to work with client stakeholders.
• Available for LatAm service window (9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET) and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity, recovery).
• Define and improve standards for IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, releases (Terraform, Git workflows).
• Lead observability improvements across infra and data workloads (link alerts to evidence).
• Improve alert routing across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, Teams, and data observability tools.
• Lead or support major incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Design reliability improvements including auto-remediation and alert correlation.
• Track service metrics (availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployments, MTTR).
• Apply change-management, access-control, secrets-management, auditability in HIPAA/GDPR/FDA contexts.
• Create runbooks, operating procedures, architecture context, recovery procedures, knowledge transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote best practices across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
