AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve the cloud infrastructure and reliability layers behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role requires 5+ years in Cloud Eng/DevOps/SRE, strong hands‑on AWS/EKS and Kubernetes experience, Argo Workflows, Terraform, and scripting, plus excellent English communication for cross‑functional collaboration and on‑call support within LatAm hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of profesional experience in Cloud Eng/DevOps/SRE.
• Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure experience in production.
• Advanced Kubernetes and Amazon EKS experience with workload ops and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Argo Workflows administration or equivalent.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and source-controlled practices.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Strong monitoring/logging/incident-routing skills (Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, etc.).
• Lead complex incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, or Bash scripting for automation.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs and drive improvements across a complex platform.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Availability for LatAm service window (9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET) and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior ownership for Cloud/DevOps service during LatAm coverage, including day-to-day ops and L2/L3 escalation.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes-hosted workloads and Argo Workflows, including deployment, monitoring, and capacity management.
• Define and improve IaC standards using Terraform and Git-based delivery practices.
• Lead observability improvements linking alerts to evidence from Argo, dbt, Snowflake, and runbooks.
• Improve alert routing and escalation across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty and data observability tools.
• Lead or support major incidents with post-incident reviews and actions.
• Design reliability improvements, auto-remediation, and automated repetitive tasks.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes, MTTR.
• Apply change-management, access control, secrets management, and HIPAA/GDPR/FDA-aligned practices.
• Create runbooks, procedures, architecture context, recovery steps, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote consistent execution across a distributed team.
• Participate in on-call rotation and senior escalation for critical incidents.
