Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python. You will own features end-to-end, work on distributed systems, and collaborate with a fast-moving team in a remote LATAM-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software or backend roles, strong Python and Java skills, and hands-on AI/LLM development experience. Production experience with Docker/Kubernetes and messaging systems is highly valued.

• 8+ years of software or backend experience.
• 5+ years building production-grade Python systems.
• Strong Java experience.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based development in production.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with databases, queues, and data pipelines.
• Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Autonomy and startup mindset.
• Advanced English level.
