Homeward is seeking a Senior Back-end Engineer to build a simpler, customer-centric homebuying experience with real estate agents. You will work in a remote-first, LATAM-based team, contributing to AI-powered features and scalable backend systems.

Expect collaboration across distributed teams, a focus on quality, and rapid prototyping with modern Python frameworks. You’ll design APIs, implement robust services, and participate in a culture of continuous improvement and agile development

Formación

• 6+ years of non-internship backend development experience.
• Deep understanding of web development and best practices.
• Experience with Python-based frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Hands-on with AI productivity tools and LLM APIs.
• Skilled with REST API development, async tasks, and databases.
• Strong testing mindset and code review discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, design, debug, and modify backend components in an agile environment.
• Write unit and integration tests to support CI pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and flexibility.
• Prototype MVPs and contribute to technical vision with seniors.
• Collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams across regions.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate prototyping and documentation.
• Maintain AI-powered features and integrate with LLM APIs.
