Jeeves is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our LATAM engineering team. You will design and build backend systems powering our financial platform across the Americas and beyond.

This role focuses on scalable services, AI-assisted features, and secure, reliable operations. Fluent English plus Spanish or Portuguese are required to collaborate with global and LATAM teams, and the position is fully remote.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Fluent in English — professional fluency required for daily work with global teams.
• Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese — required for LATAM teammates and customers.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven backend systems.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate third-party APIs reliably in production.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services processing financial transactions for Jeeves across 20+ countries.
• Write clean production-ready code in Go, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript; participate in design and code reviews.
• Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs; design inter-service communication using gRPC, queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Design and optimize relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) for correctness and scale.
• Own backend features end-to-end from scoping and design through deployment and iteration.
• Implement security best practices: authentication, authorization, input validation, and data protection.
