Job summary

Finvisor is hiring a Senior AR/AP Specialist to support a portfolio of venture-backed startups. You will prepare invoices, reconcile AR/AP, and manage high-volume communications with multiple clients.

• 1–3 years of accounting/AR/AP/bookkeeping experience (startup or multi-client experience preferred)
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication (client-facing)
• Proficiency with Google Sheets/Docs and Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with QBO, Xero and/or BILL; familiarity with Ramp, Brex, Tabs or Expensify is a plus
• Accounting skills, including revenue recognition, are a plus

We are hiring a client-focused, detail-oriented Senior AR/AP Specialist to support a portfolio of venture-backed startups. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role with significant cross-functional interaction across Accounting, Payroll, and Compliance. Every day will look a bit different — just like the clients we support.

What you'll do:

• Prepare client invoices and apply payments accurately and on time
• Reconcile AR & AP activity and investigate discrepancies
• Manage high-volume AP/AR correspondence across multiple clients
• Troubleshoot issues, propose process improvements, and support system enhancements
• Handle data entry and assist with monthly workflows
• Respond to client and vendor inquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally
• Support ad hoc accounting tasks, reporting, and project work as needed

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, AR/AP, or bookkeeping roles (startup or multi-client experience preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills — this role is client-facing
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with QBO, Xero, and/or BILL; familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Brex, Tabs, or Expensify is a plus
• Accounting skills, including revenue recognition, are a plus
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Docs and Microsoft Excel
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and taking on new challenges
