Job summary

Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for an AI-native, Claude Code/Codex‑driven workflow. You’ll own complex SaaS platform infrastructure, navigate large codebases, and drive architectural decisions in a fully remote LATAM setup.

The role emphasizes production software, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Strong production software experience and ownership of large systems.
• Excellent architecture, design, testing, and maintenance fundamentals.
• Experience with large/complex codebases and modern web/SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, understand, and evolve a large existing production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agents extensively.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, design implementations, generate/refactor code, debug issues, and write tests.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability and quality.
