Job summary

Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for an AI-native, Claude/Codex‑driven stack. You will own complex, production systems in a remote LATAM setting, partnering with product leadership to craft scalable SaaS solutions.

You’ll shape architecture, reduce technical debt, and accelerate delivery via AI coding agents while maintaining quality and reliability. The role emphasizes pragmatic engineering, ownership, and a product mindset, with remote‑first culture and ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and operating production software.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack experience with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and cloud CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify tech debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and other AI coding agents throughout development.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, generate/refactor code, debug, and write tests.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, and production readiness.
• Work with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
