Job summary

Oyster is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing analytics to own data ingestion, CRM integrations, and the data warehouse. You will implement scalable pipelines from paid media and CRM sources into a BigQuery warehouse, build modular dbt/Dataform transformations, and enable fast Looker Studio dashboards.

The role emphasizes data quality, CI/CD practices, and cross-team collaboration for a growing education and nonprofit client base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in a marketing or agency environment.
• Experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or comparable ETL platforms.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL with BigQuery experience in transformation, partitioning, and modeling.
• Expertise with dbt or Dataform, modular and version-controlled SQL pipelines.
• Python proficiency for custom API connections and automation.
• Experience with CRM data flows (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot)
• Strong understanding of marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and platform schemas.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture from paid media and CRM into Adverity and warehouse.
• Build reliable CRM connections (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot) ensuring clean data flow to the warehouse.
• Design and optimize BigQuery schemas, partitioning, and storage for multi-source marketing data.
• Create modular, documented dbt/Dataform transformations with consistent naming and metrics.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and enforce data segregation across multi-client environments.
• Deliver reporting-ready data views for Looker Studio dashboards and automated Sheets reports.
• Monitor pipelines, validate data quality, troubleshoot issues and reduce latency.
