Job summary

Hire Hangar, Inc. seeks an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. This role requires technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

The position is remote with coverage during US business hours (ET 8:00 AM–8:00 PM). Strong CPA/EA preferred; proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Zendesk, and payroll systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Ability to handle complex tax and accounting inquiries and customer-facing support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate escalated accounting and tax tickets and resolve issues.
• Review bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations and transactions.
• Explain complex topics to nontechnical customers and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal specialists and adapt to new proprietary platforms.
