Job summary

Accenture Plc is seeking a Technical SEO Lead for remote work servicing a US-based higher education marketing agency. You will drive technical SEO across client accounts, perform audits, write developer-ready specs, and optimize for AI-driven search alongside Claude-based tools.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and executive leadership to scale SEO services, build reusable workflows, and ensure high-impact improvements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and fixing them
• Hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
• Advanced hands-on experience with Claude and AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written specs for developers and client-ready recommendations

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization
• Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, reporting, and QA
• Build content production systems translating briefs to near-publish-ready drafts
• Document systems and train the team, measuring time saved and impact
• Join client calls for deep technical topic explanations with SEO Lead
