Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows, while performing manual testing when needed. You will integrate tests into CI/CD and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and robust acceptance criteria.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, WebdriverIO+Appium for mobile, and testing Electron/React Native apps, including real devices. AI tools in QA are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
