Job summary

AgileEngine, an Inc. 5000 company, seeks a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and enhance the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will manage AWS/EKS workloads, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, and Terraform-driven IaC, while leading incident response and improving observability. Strong English communication and LatAm hours are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure in production.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Administering Argo Workflows or similar platforms.
• Strong Terraform and IaC practices.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in monitoring/logging/alerting tools (e.g., Splunk, PagerDuty).
• Root-cause analysis and incident prevention experience.
• Programming/scripting in Python, Shell, or Bash.
• Ability to make technical tradeoffs and drive improvements.
• Mentoring engineers across teams and stakeholders.
• Strong English communication; client-facing ability.
• Availability for LatAm service window (9:00–18:00 ET) and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior ownership for Cloud/DevOps during LatAm window.
• Operate and improve AWS infrastructure and EKS workloads.
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows.
• Define IaC, configuration management, CI/CD standards using Terraform.
• Improve observability and runbooks across infra and data workloads.
• Enhance alert routing across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty and Teams.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews with stakeholders.
• Design reliability improvements and automate repetitive tasks.
• Track service metrics including availability and MTTR.
• Enforce change-management, access control, and auditability for regulated environments.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incidents outside hours.
