Pyyne Digital is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale distributed services in a startup environment. You will own features end-to-end, work with Java and Python, and apply AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity while upholding quality.

This 100% remote role is LATAM-friendly; you will collaborate with a technical, fast-moving team, optimize data processing pipelines, and ensure reliable, maintainable systems.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in software/backend development.
• 5+ years Python experience building production-grade backends.
• Strong Java experience.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based development experience.
• Experience with AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Take ownership of features throughout design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with reliability and performance focus.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and standards.
